Where Happy Scribe is the better choice
- People who transcribe, in many languages. People transcribe for you, separately from the plans: from $2.00 a minute for English, priced per language, in more than 60 languages. Happy Scribe says its human service "has an accuracy of 99%". Sources 1, 2 We don't offer human transcription at all.
- Subtitle and editing formats. Pro and Business export "All formats (15+)", including VTT, PDF and formats for video editors. What Free and Basic can export differs between Happy Scribe's own pages — its pricing page lists DOCX for Free in one place and leaves it out of its plan table. - Questions across a whole project. AI Chat can be pointed at a whole folder to ask across every file in it, with a quick action that extracts key quotes with timestamps. Source Our questions work one transcript at a time.

What txscribe doesn't do well
- Speaker labels work in 14 of our 110 language variants. In the rest the transcript has no speaker labels, and there are no speakers to rename.
- A recording that switches language partway may come back translated rather than transcribed — or not at all — and nothing marks it as missing. Name the main language instead of leaving it on automatic.
- Summaries do not point back to the moment each line came from. Answers to questions do.
