Words come back with timestamps: click any line to jump to that moment in the recording. A line you correct keeps its paragraph's timing rather than per-word timing. Answers to questions about a transcript link to the moments they came from.
Training on your recordings

We do not use your recordings or transcripts to train models.
Fireflies
Its Terms say it will not use your content to train generative AI models, though it may derive usage and statistical data from it to improve the service; its help centre says "No AI Training. Ever.", and its security page lists "No Data Training" and says it doesn't train on your data "by default". Sources 1, 2, 3
Where Fireflies is the better choice
- Meetings. A bot for Zoom, Meet, Teams and more, live transcription, a Chrome extension that records without the bot, and mobile and desktop apps, on every plan. Source txscribe has no meeting bot; it can show live captions while you record in the browser, but the transcript you edit comes afterwards.
- Price and volume, billed yearly. Pro $18 per seat a month, or $10 a month billed annually; Business $29, or $19 billed annually; Enterprise $39 per seat a month, billed annually only. Source Billed yearly, Fireflies Pro costs less than txscribe Pro and allows more upload minutes a month — though it keeps only a fixed total of stored minutes, billed monthly it costs more, and each upload is shorter.
- More languages. Its help centre says 100+ languages; a multi-language mode for recordings that switch language is in beta, on Business and Enterprise only. Sources 1, 2 That is more languages than txscribe transcribes.
- Compliance on every plan. Its pricing lists SOC 2 Type II and GDPR compliance on every plan, and HIPAA on Enterprise. Sources 1, 2, 3 We have no SOC 2 report.
What txscribe doesn't do well
- Speaker labels work in 14 of our 110 language variants. In the rest the transcript has no speaker labels, and there are no speakers to rename.
- A recording that switches language partway may come back translated rather than transcribed — or not at all — and nothing marks it as missing. Name the main language instead of leaving it on automatic.
- Summaries do not point back to the moment each line came from. Answers to questions do.
